Windows Mobile : Block unwanted calls/ SMS

Are the telemarketers disturbing you?

An excellent application for WM5/WM6 Pocket PC & SmartPhone is Call FireWall (http://www.logic-unlimited.in/callfirewall.php). It blocks calls/SMS from a list of numbers you provide. What more - you can also use patterns of numbers. For e.g. I get calls from distant cities. There isn't a fair change that these calls are not from telemarketers and I block a pattern including STD code of that city - very useful feature.

And in case you still get a call you can just use the Add Last Caller to add the last caller to the numbers.

You still would get a incoming call for a very short duration and the call will appear in you rmissed calls list. Blocked SMS go to SMS Log and you can view them there. SMS Log is however transient - not stored anywhere. So if you restart the applciation those blocked SMS will be lost - but who cares about them anyway!

Windows Mobile : Activesync errors due to invalid server certificate

After going through a lot of Microsoft WM documentation about ActiveSync issues I finally found this which fixed the "server certificate is invalid" issue once and for all.
